In 2012, 10 new regular routes opened at Madeira
airport, as can be seen on the table below.
7.2.1.1.6_Beja airport
Beja airport suffered losses in passenger traffic (2
thousand fewer passengers, a decline of 13.9% year on
year) and in aircraft movements (71 in 2011 to 28 in
2012). The Herdade dos Grous operation flown by
TUIfly contributed to this performance, covering the
Beja-Hannover route, with a layover in Stuttgart.
