8.4_TRAINING
Continuing their policies of previous years, the ANA
Group companies have been investing in the on-going
qualification of their human resources, equipping them
with the know-how and the tools needed to achieve
the strategic goals set out for the Group’s companies.
In 2012, 2,682 staff members received training,
amounting to a total of 148,134 hours of training, a
5.8% increase over the previous year (see table below).
The training plan for 2012 at ANA, S.A. was based on
a new model for analysing and processing the training
needs, one that aims for an approach that is better
suited to the needs of the staff and the company. Its
objectives are:
• To build up the general and specialised skills for the
specific business areas and airport activity;
• To increase the level of organisational culture,
through actions of entrepreneurship, leadership and
innovation;
• To improve work methods and the use of instru-
ments by the staff to achieve greater proficiency
and higher levels of fulfilment of corporate obliga-
tions, using training sessions for health and safety
at work, computer skills and foreign languages.
This plan involved 43,674 training hours and 5,057
participations, with training programmes on airport
operations, airport management, health and safety at
work, plus workshops held under the “Human Capital”
project.
