On 31 December 2012, the ANA Group had 2,828
staff, which was 57 more than for the previous year.
This rise was the result of the need for more staff at
the subsidiary Portway, S.A., which saw an increase
in its business activity.
8.3.2_ANA, S.A.
By the end of 2012, ANA, S.A. had a staff consisting of
1,097 employees, of whom 1,077 were at the service
of the company, and 1,085 on the payroll.
This was 37 fewer staff than the previous year, as
a result of 17 new staff and 54 staff leaving the
company.
The staff intake mainly resulted from internal trans-
fers within the ANA Group and all belonged to the
more highly qualified staff groups. Most of those
leaving the company (67%) did so for retirement
purposes, with qualifications ranging from semi-
qualified to highly qualified.
