Actions for monitoring the commercial environment
were also systematised under ANA IN. To do this,
specific areas were created on the platform for sharing
relevant documentation available on thematic forums
of the airport sector.
We highlight the role of the platform in the system-
atisation of information collected at the Passenger
Terminal Expo 2012 conference. The creation of this
area of ANA IN allowed for quick and easy access to all
the documents from the conference, making it possible
to have a single process for sharing and analysing key
business information for ANA, S.A..
Here is an example of one of the various areas created
for this purpose:
Skills centres
Functionalities were also included in the platform
that are specifically for the development of centres of
competence. Based on the creation of pools of know-
ledge, with networks of employees identified as being
in possession of expert knowledge with respect to
specific areas of the airport business, the skills centres
have the following objectives:
• consolidate knowledge, ensure transversal access
and dissemination and encourage the retention of
knowledge;
• boost the research and management of important
information and identify new strategic business
challenges and opportunities;
• systematise the repertory of know-how and to
create a pool of ANA experts.
The functions developed within ANA IN for the skills
centres are shown below as a graphic:
Forrester Groundswell Awards
On 18 October 2012, in Orlando, Florida, the winners
of the Forrester Groundswell Awards were announced.
This international award honours the best applications
of social technology by companies.
