ANA, S.A. has been present at various major events
in the airport sector, where it presented the projects:
CRISIS – Airport in a box, DUMBO and SABT Baggage
Innovation in ANA Airports at the Passenger Terminal
Expo 2012, which was held in April in Vienna,
Austria.
In 2012, the company also had its certification
renewed for the System of Research, Development and
Innovation Management.
9.1_MAIN ACTIONS AND INITIATIVES UNDERTAKEN
IN 2012
IDI activities in 2012 were aimed at implementing
innovations. All the actions were carried out creatively
and systematically in order to gain knowledge.
The second quarter of 2012 saw the start-up of the
project for revising the IDI Management Processes,
with the goal of simplifying them and increasing staff
interest in innovation matters.
Access to the channel for submitting innovative ideas
was improved within the scope of the IDI Generate
Ideas Process, resulting in the submission of twice as
many ideas as in the previous year.
During the period in question, the projects in which
the company participated had a strong operational
element, making use of communication and infor-
mation technologies, plus other cutting-edge tech-
nologies in line with the company’s policies on innov-
ation activities. These focused mainly on improving
operating efficiency and security. The areas and
technologies impacted are shown in the following
figure:
