This comes as no surprise to anyone analysing ANA, S.A.’s performance, either this year or in previous years. Even
when subjected to the regulatory freeze on fees beginning in 2008, ANA, S.A. was able to forge a path of increased
profitability in a framework of streamlining the use of its resources, meeting the goals that had been set for it. Not
only that, the company was mentioned various times by organisations and accredited bodies in recognition of the
standards of quality and excellence it has attained.
The senior staff and employees of ANA, S.A. are to be congratulated as their quality and ability has been publicly
recognised, and I am confident they will continue to place their talents and effort at the service of the company and
its objectives.
The Portuguese State and its representatives are to be commended for the results achieved in the process of
privatisation and in the revision of the legal framework for the airport sector.
Finally, congratulations to VINCI CONCESSIONS, the company that has taken control of one of the most interesting
assets of the privatisation programme in the country.
A new cycle begins in the life of the company, one that should be faced with the calm assurance of those who know
what they are capable of achieving, and with the confidence and cooperation of the various stakeholders who share
in ANA Group’s business, who also deserve a word of recognition. But it is to the employees and members of the
senior staff that I direct the final word: I encourage you to face this new cycle and see it for what it really means – an
enormous opportunity for achievement and professional growth. May the future provide you with the personal
satisfaction that your skill, diligence and dedication well deserve.
